Opening and Closing a Candidate Search

How do I begin a candidate search?

Starting a candidate search is easy. Click here to get started. You will be guided through a series of questions about your practice, hiring needs, work environment, and ideal candidate. Your dedicated Success Manager will then reach out to discuss any additional details.

What if I can’t find the job title for the type of candidate I need to hire?

If you can’t find the correct job title, please use one of the icons at the bottom of your screen to chat or schedule a time to talk with a TalentCare representative. If you need to begin more than one candidate search, you can select “Other” from the drop-down and continue through the check-out process. Your dedicated Success Manager will reach out to discuss the details of your searches, and you can discuss the additional search at that time.

How do I close a search once I’ve made a hire?

You will receive reminder emails twice weekly to offer you the opportunity to update candidates’ status and provide additional feedback. This email will also allow you to close your candidate search with the click of a button.

Communicating with TalentCare

What happens once I place my order?

Once you place an order, your dedicated Success Manager will reach out to discuss your needs in more detail. A team will be assigned based on your job opening and market, according to their individual expertise.

What do I do if I have questions?

If you have questions before your Success Manager reaches out, please email info@talentcaremedical.com. Once you have been in contact with your Success Manager, you can reach out to him or her directly with any questions.

How will I receive candidate presentations?

Candidate presentations are sent via mobile-friendly email. Each presentation will include the candidate’s resume and details about their fit. Notify TalentCare of whom you will and will not be interviewing using the buttons in your candidate presentation email. At this point, any additional feedback will help refine your candidate search criteria.

How do I notify TalentCare of updates or feedback?

In addition to candidate presentation emails, you will receive reminder emails twice weekly to offer you the opportunity to update candidates’ status and provide additional feedback. Please provide as much detail as possible, as this will help ensure you receive the most highly qualified candidates.

Candidate Selection Process

What are best practices for contacting candidates for an interview?

We suggest you first reach out to candidates via email to notify them of your interest and arrange a phone screen and/or a face-to-face interview. If you are having trouble reaching someone, candidates often respond quickly via text message.

How can I make sure I’m getting the best candidates for my opening?

It is essential to provide detailed feedback about candidates, whether you find them to be a good fit or not. This will help continue refinements to your search, and ensure you receive the most highly qualified candidates.

Will TalentCare screen a candidate I’ve found on my own?

Yes! Hiring best practice is that all candidates complete the same screening process. Simply share the contact details and/or resume of any candidates you would like screened with your Success Manager, and TalentCare will coordinate the rest. Or, TalentCare is happy to provide a custom referral link if you prefer.

Costs

Why do I have to pay an engagement fee up front?

Traditional recruiting firms operate on contingency, which means they work first on the roles they think they are most likely to fill. In order to fully dedicate ourselves to your search, we do not perform contingent searches. TalentCare operates as an extension of you, investing significantly in marketing and sourcing for your specific requirements. Our job is not done until your job is filled with the right candidate.

Where is my receipt?

You will receive a receipt via email within 24 hours of each payment.

Retention Guarantee

What is the retention guarantee?

If candidate provided by TalentCare terminates employment for any reason within 180 days after the candidate’s start date, TalentCare will provide search services for a replacement candidate having the same title and specialty at no additional cost to you. If a replacement cannot be found within 90 days, you can choose to have TalentCare cease search activities and receive a refund of the Placement Fee and, if applicable, Retention Fee to you. This guarantee is contingent on the Engagement Fee, Placement Fee and, if applicable, Retention Fee being paid in full. This guarantee is a one-time offer only and replacement candidates are not subject to this guarantee.

How do I request a replacement hire?

To request a replacement hire based on the 180-day retention guarantee, please log in to your account here, and click the button labeled “View Hires” on the left side of the screen. From there, find the correct candidate search from your list of orders, and click the button labeled “Request Replacement.” Provide the requested details, and your TalentCare Success Manager will be in touch.
